About Leah
Leah Curney is an award-winning screenwriter and filmmaker with over two decades in the entertainment industry. In 2024, her feature screenplay GREAT WITH KIDS was an official selection for the first annual The Women’s List and won the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards Gold Prize for Comedy. In 2019, her pilot THE INVISIBLES was a semi-finalist for the Made In NY Writers Room Fellowship and her dramatic short script 6:18 TO OMAHA won the CinemaStreet Women’s Short Screenplay Competition.
As a filmmaker, she has written and directed several narrative shorts, including IN PIECES and UNSOLICITED, and created branded content for multiple Fortune 500 companies. She is currently in pre-production for her “Sci-Fi Climate Change Comedy,” ANOMALOUS, which was a quarterfinalist for the 2024 ScreenCraft Film Fund. Also an actor and proud member of SAG-AFTRA with numerous credits in television and film, it’s entirely possible you’ve seen her on a commercial for feminine hygiene products or during a late-night “Law & Order” marathon.
She lives adjacent to NYC (read: New Jersey suburbs) with her daughter and husband – actor / director / voice over talent Andy Schneeflock – and enjoys (among other things) history, botanic gardens, games of all kinds, breakfast, learning about things and fuzzy slippers.
